Course Descriptions


Self Defense I 

In this scenario based course, we will cover how to recognize and respond to imminent danger through the use of intuitive thought process and effective communication and defensive tactics.  The course curriculum includes mindset and strategic thinking, development of power, stance, edge and blunt trauma weapons defense, use of mace or pepper spray, striking and kicking techniques.  Students will also participate in situational defense drills.  This course can be tailored to specific audiences and cover special topics by request.  The course is $85 per student.

Self Defense II

In this scenario based course we will build upon skills learned in Self Defense I and include edge and blunt trauma weapons defense and advanced striking and kicking techniques. The course is $85 per student.

College Prep Self Defense

This course is offered in the summer months and is tailored specifically to the college bound student.  It will include all of the content in Self Defense I as well as crime awareness and avoidance, powerful communication skills and assertiveness as it relates to the college environment.  This course is $85.


Close Quarters Combatives

US Street Defense offers a close quarters combatives course taught by certified law enforcement defensive tactics instructors. Our skilled instructors have years of experience in training, developing and implementing combatives courses for their agencies and other organizations. This course is designed to teach students the basics of close quarters combat and is ideal for police officers, security personnel, people who want to supplement their martial arts training or any person who wants to develop exceptional personal protection skills.  The course curriculum includes mindset and strategic thinking, development of power, stance, edge and blunt trauma weapons defense, use of mace or pepper spray, striking and kicking techniques.  This course is taught as a single class or recurring sessions.  

Empty Hand Defense for Law Enforcement
 
This course is targeted at law enforcement agencies and will cover stance and the development of power, strikes (open hand, closed fist, elbow), kicks (low line, knees), blocks and avoidance, and situationals.  This course will also cover Standard Operating Procedures and the Use of Force relevant to your agency.  

Expandable Baton for Law Enforcement
 
This course is targeted at law enforcement agencies and will cover carrying the ASP, drawing and deploying the weapon, development of power, a variety of strikes and situationals. This course will also cover Standard Operating Procedures and the Use of Force relevant to your agency. 

Edged Weapons Defense for Law Enforcement
 
This course is targeted at law enforcement agencies and will cover the recognition of imminent danger (body language, seeing the draw, counter measures), defending using high, mid and low blocks, block and trap techniques and angles of attack, and situationals. This course will also cover Standard Operating Procedures and the Use of Force particular to your agency.
